Missing Moves August 2023, 295 North

The missing moves project is finally in it's home stretch and is expected to be complete this fall. Let's look at the progress along 295 North.

These pictures show the day that the concrete was poured for the deck of the bridge over Big Timber Creek.

After the concrete was poured and covered in plastic to protect it as it cures.

Just beyond the bridge is this pile of earth where the deceleration ramp will eventually be. This has been here since very early in the project so I assume it is being used to compact the earth in this area before the road is built on it.

Paving work has been done on the approach to the ramp from 295 North to 42 South.

Concrete pad is in place for the crash attenuator that will be at the start of the ramp.

Paving has also been done along the side of the ramp to form a shoulder along 295 North.

Missing Moves August 2023

Work continues on the bridge over Big Timber Creek. These pictures show the work on the north bound side of 295. The equipment used to smooth the concrete has been brought in so pouring the concrete bridge deck is not far off.

Work on the bridge deck.

Rebar being installed for the bridge deck.

Work has started on the area between Big Timber Creek and the start of the ramp to 42 South. This will become the deceleration lane for the ramp.

On the south bound side work has started to complete the barrier starting from the ramp from 42 North.

Direct Connect August 2023

Not a lot of visible progress on the repair of the collapsed section. The slope appears to have been covered in riprap which is used to prevent erosion. Still no evidence that they are going to take down the rest of the section, they might just be rebuilding the front part.
