Missing Moves July 2021

Here is a look at the current work on the Missing Moves project along 42.

This is part of the ramp from 295 North to 42 South.

Direct Connect June 2021

Over the past few weeks two new overpass supports have been built along 42. The first one shown here is along 42 south just before the road splits off to 295 South.

The second one is by the ramp the comes from 42 North. This will support the future ramp from 42 North to 295 North, the start of which you  can see on the far right of the picture.

As I have mentioned in other posts, work has resumed on the Browning Road overpass replacement. In the middle of the picture you can see the temporary bridge in a staging area by the cemetery.  This will eventually be pushed out over the highway.

Here you can see the hardware installed on the center columns to support the temporary bridge.

Browning Road Overpass 6/28/2021

Work is finally moving ahead on the temporary Browning Road overpass. In these pictures you can see the components of the bridge being assembled near the cemetery. This will eventually be pushed out over 42 and server as the Browning Road overpass while the old one is torn down and re-built.

Here is a video showing how the bridge will be installed.

Browning Road Overpass

It appears that work is resuming on the temporary Browning Road overpass. It had been reported that this part of the project was stalled waiting on the resolution of a right-of-way issue. It appears that they are taking some more land from St Mary's cemetery, at least temporarily. They have started to clear part of the St Mary's property next to the existing work area, and have closed off the main entrance to the cemetery now directing people to the middle gate. They have also removed the fencing around the work are and had staged some more equipment there.

Those retaining walls will come up to this structure where the ramp will pass over Creek Road.

Here are some pictures of the first half of the new Creek Road overpass. You can see that the end of the overpass on the 295 south side it being built much higher. This is being done because the new ramp from 42 north to 295 south does not come down to the current level of 295 before it reaches the overpass, so that end of the overpass is being raised to accommodate the end of the ramp.

Retaining Wall 5/8/2021

Here is the current state of the collapsed retaining wall. Looks like most of the damaged section has been removed and work continues to stabilize what is left until a repair plan can be developed.

Demolition continuous on the failed retaining wall. The entire damaged section of the wall has been removed and they have started to excavate the earth that was behind it.
