Missing Moves June 2023

Work continues on both sides of the bridge over Big Timber Creek. Here is a look at the work on the 295 North bound side.

 

Must of the new support beams are in place.

Direct Connect June 2023

 

Work continues on the demolition of the collapsed section of the road. You can see that the retaining wall has been removed from around the support columns at the end of the road bed.

A large crane has been assembled at the site. This may be the same crane that was recently removed from the Big Timber Creek overpass construction site. 

The first of the new center supports for the new Browning Road overpass has been completed. In the background you can see the old one which I assume will be replaced.

Direct Connect Wall Collapse

It has been over two years since a section of the new 295 main line retaining wall collapsed, but today work to rebuild this section finally ramped up. If you would like to read details of report on the reasons for the collapse there is a great article over at 42 Freeway on this:

Work progressing in a number of areas. An excavator in the lower left appears to be taking down more of the front retailing wall. More excavators are up on top removing the roadbed. Finally on the right is a crane removing the retaining wall along the back of this section. 

Browning Road Overpass

Work continues on the first new set of center supports for the new Browning Road overpass. In this picture you can see the rebar where the fountains for the supports have been constructed. The supports in the background will eventually be removed and new ones constructed.

A later picture after the new support concrete had been poured. They are wrapped in plastic to protect them from the rain. 

The rebar in the foreground in this picture will be for the concrete cross piece that will go on top of the columns. 

This is the form for the concrete cross piece. 

Browning Road Overpass April 2023

Demolition of the bridge abutment of the old Browning Road overpass has been complete. Some work has also been done to further stabilize the temporary retaining wall as they get the area ready for the construction of the new abutment. 

 

Missing Moves March 2023

 Not a lot to see on the Missing Moves project since most of the work is in areas that are hard to photograph. 

They have stated to pour the concrete for the roadbed of the ramp from 42 North to 295 South.

Browning Road Overpass 3/28

The demolition of the second bridge abutment of the old Browning Road overpass is almost complete.
